Are high-mileage used cars a bad idea?

High mileage alone does not automatically mean a car is unreliable. Many vehicles with over 120,000 miles can still perform well if they were properly maintained. In North Carolina, highway driving is common, which is often easier on engines than city driving. Maintenance records, engine condition, and transmission performance matter more than mileage alone.
